thanks for reading this, John. I have no reason to question the motives of giga-church pastors. In fact, I named Rob Bell and Andy Stanley because I happen to enjoy both of their ministries. I appreciated Vice-President-Elect Biden, who stated in the debate something to the effect of - "I question my opponents judgment, but I don't question their motive - that's not my right." No problems here with giga-church pastors here, I just want Christians to not be enamored with them - I know I have been many times before.

Amen. When we see the “giga-church” impact the
community they live in by releasing the kingdom based on God’s love, justice, and power, where corruption is the exception, the hungry and poor are fed and clothed, the courts rule justly, the local government is run righteously, business is operated ethically, and education is more about pursuing truth than indoctrinating the young with popular philosophy, then I will join the fan club. Until then, I will applaud the faithful, humble servants who are out there daily making a difference to the “ones”.

great thoughts here, and I definitely agree with some of what you've said here.

one defining difference, I believe, is the motivation of the men in "giga-churches". some go for glory, some go for the glory of God.

often times that can really help better understand what's really going on.
