Holy Spirit emphasis this week

HolySpiritSeminar-2019-Sep30

This Sunday I am going to teach on the Holy Spirit during our Sunday services, in anticipation of our Holy Spirit seminar on Monday and Tuesday.

I hope we can create space to relax in God’s presence together. In this era of suffocating anxiety, we just need fresh air so we can feel health and vitality. Breathe on us, Holy Spirit.

Join me at CIL on Sunday at either 9am or 10:45am.

Monday and Tuesday at 6:30pm.

Love means we live forever

I am missing my Dad, as yesterday was 16 years since his passing. But, you are missing someone you love, too.

These words from the late Dallas Willard touched my soul recently, and they will fill you with hope:

“Those who love and are loved by God are not allowed to cease to exist, because they are God’s treasures. He delights in them and intends to hold onto them. He has even prepared for them an individualized eternal work in his vast universe.” – Dallas Willard

North Central University

I had a great couple of days at North Central University in Minneapolis.

For 24 years, I’ve watched Jeff and Martha Deyo impact the next generation for Christ. Their legacy continues as they are doing amazing work at NCU! I was so blessed to spend time with them.

So thankful to hang out with my long-time friend, Dr. Phil Zarns. Phil and his wife Katja are Kingdom builders who I respect deeply.

Also, much thanks to my new friend, Dr. Larry Bach, for bringing me to NCU’s “The Now and the Next” Conference.

It was all a great experience!

The Bridge Ministry

On Tuesday, I had the honor to preach at The Bridge Ministry in downtown Nashville.   We have partnered with The Bridge since 2006.  I am so thankful for their faithful presence for Christ to the homeless of our city.

This ministry feeds these friends and treats them with dignity and inclusion into the church.  Thank you for your faithfulness, Bridge Ministry!
